tbot4 - Here's a hcapter
Chapter 1: Here's a hcapter
in addition to finishing the checklist phases 4-8:
When you made setup guide, I like it, but there should be dropdown windows with the things you need to copy paste. You lost the copy paste inportant functions. So at step 1: I need a dropdown with full schema to copy. The schema is gone. In step 2, dropdown with the same connect to supabase function as on Project Dash. Allow connection and test of setup from dropdown. Also make copy and paste of the three keys and add them to secrets in edge function. Need info explaining how to add to secrets and what for in supabase in step 2 of setup guide. Step 3 should have a dropdown with a copy button next to the three keys to add to supa fro connection. Make a dropdown in step 4 with the ghost proxey edge function with copy button. Then give exact steps to find where to paste and deploy. Basically, the additional steps and coppy connection clear and disconnect and edge function copy and paste with intsturctions inside the beta readers settings should be moved to the main settings cog and the settings within beta readers should be depricated.
Also, the edts title/ settings cog/ and project dash beta readers ang ghost buttons do not respect the width of the app, they go full width unlike everything else in the app. The three buttons should be centered instead of aligned left.
When creating a new chapter or book or series or other... or any modal. The window should pop up over the current window instead being a panel added at teh top of my list of series/books/projects. It is so difficult to find as it is, and unintuitive. a popup window is expected. Creating a series should not be the create a book modal. It should be just like "create other (choose schema type or create new schema) except the shema should already be chosen as "series". That's the only difference between adding a series and adding a 'other'. Adding a book is slightly different now, because it will also ask if I want to add a series at the same time, but that's because books are nested within series. therefor, the "add book" and "add series" and "add other" should all be the same modal. If a schema has been defined to be nested within another type, at the bottom it will ask if I want to add the project to one of those parent options or create a new paretn option. So in the case of books: create new book is the same modal as the others, but book is defined as a child of series, so the modal asks would I like to add to an existing series or create a new series to add this project to. Pretty simple and elegant! Also, chapters and divisions should therefor be nested inside the books and i should be able to add other schema to books in the same way as needed in the future.
Lastly, I love the structure you added to documents. The nested view is perfect. When I click on the "sereis" or "book" nothing happens. These nested items should be dropdown menus. The Largest nested item (in this case, series) should be default open all the way down, but I can close it if I want. Put the ability to select default open or close for schema inside the settings cog. I want series defualt open. Books, default closed, so i do not see their chapters/divisions.
By clicking on the titles of the books or series, it should open another dropdown that contains all the info for that book or series, like what currently exists down on the page in unordered mess. The list of cover, toc, warnings about yaml, warning about cover and toc not being on ghost, adding chapter/division. Therefore, all the info that is now in two separate places will be organized nicely in one tree of heirarchies.
The closed dropdown menus should have the number of chapters (lower nested items) warnings about yaml and post to ghost, And the buttons to add nested items (like chapters/divisions). Dropping down the drop down will show the edit button and delete button. I don't want the delete button next to add nested item... seems too easy to delete. Make me open the dropdown menu first.
